Gardenponds
...
... can be built in many shapes, sizes, forms and materials. There can be streams,
fountains or waterfalls; little islands, brigdes, complementary rocks or underwater
lights.
The design must blend in with its surroundings. The plants should not only be
functional, but ought to enhance the area, harmonising with their colours and
textures. The water and swamp plants are chosen according to the size, shape
and colour of the immediate environment.
The pond is home to fish, water insects and dragon-flies, and it is an inviting
place to sit, relax and shed ourselves of the stresses of daily life.
The proportions of the swamp area, banks and pond area are calculated to provide
clean slightly green transparent water, which accentuates the beauty of our
garden pond. This is achieved by submerging a pump in the deepest part of the
pond, which sends the water to a hidden ring drainage tube and efficently circulates
the water.
