Sewage Plant (NSP) Type 1 ...
... is designed to treate human and household waste, combined with a compost
area for the biological treatment of the sewage sludge.
An intergrated cutting pump brings the solid matter (sludge) from the septic
tank to the composting area, which are two parallel beds, where within a few
days the sludge will decompose.
The Plant is designed so that the cutting pump is on only once a day and all
the water is moved in a short time. A slight compost-like smell is noticed when
the pump starts up. A timer ensures that the pump only works during the night.
Once a week the process is moved from one bed to the other. In the end there
are no solids left in the septic tank to be disposed of, which saves costs.
We calculate 7,5 m² for each habitant, so for an average household of 4
– 5 people, we estimate a 30 – 38 m² sewage plant.
